I appreciate the input, but I really don't care about performance. And for the minimal towing I've done, the stock gear ratio has performed fine (with stock tires).

The labor is only $100 for me and I should be able to get the gears for around $175. So cost really isn't an issue.

The FX4 rims look phenomenal, but before I bought a speedometer-correcting module or anything like that for over $100 I would take the rims back off.

Thanks.

WOW. What brand of gears are you going to use and thats a great price on labor.

Good luck.

I've always used Ford racing/Motorsport gears. Normally I'd look for unworn used gears, but for the truck I'll buy new.

Yeah, my friend does gear installs locally. I always end up tipping him extra anyway though, but he's the only person I've ever let work on my Mustang.

Thanks again

I hadn't thought of that. You're right.

Well, up for sale: 4 FX4 rims and tires.
