whine

I heard what I thought was static whine in the radio this weekend, turned off radio and whine was still there. I didn't have it until I hit the express way and steady 1900 to 2000 RPm. I have the 4.6 also.

sound like rear axel whine. If the noise goes away after you release the gas pedal then the ring and pinion need to be replace and possibly the whole rear axle. Good luck.
