You guys are crazy. There is no way its normal. 99% of the vehicles on the road dont emmit sulfur smells. Plus, its new. Something is not right.
And for me it happens more than 1/3rd of the time. Inotice the smell almost every-time I drive it. My friends notice it as well.

If the dealership today says that it is normal I am going to ahve to call bull**** on them b/c its not cool.

State Wolf,

I posted with the same problem a while back(at the start of winter). The dealership told me that same info: A conversion to winter gas with more additives. I've never had a car or truck emit this smell.

The smell actually floods the cab if I am double parked for a few minutes. I'll be making a visit to the dealer soon. Tell me how it goes for you.

It is the sulphur in the gas. My friends Sun Fire does the same thing. It's the winter gas.

Hey FreekFX4 I have the same problem with the burning smell from the right rear tire. I was gonna setup a service call to see what gives. Have you had the service dept. diagnose it yet?

I have owned many vehicles from many different mfg's, and never experienced this problem.

With the rotten egg, and burning smells it's enough to make you sick.

Have they admitted that they smell it? cause if they do have them drive one of their cars on the lots over next to yours and see if it smells the same. They won't be able to say its the winter gas anymore..

I ended up spending all day waiting on them to work on the truck (it went in for a leaking rear window, normal maintenance and jerking transmission) and finally got their take on the problem.

They said that my PCM needed to be updated because the version that I was running on was not mixing the fuel correctly. They said that after a few thousand miles I should not notice any abnormal smell and if I do to bring it back and they will replace the cats. They said that otherwise all of the sensors were properly aligned and everything was perfect it was just an old PCM program. They also said that the program I was running on was responsible for some odd jerks in acceleration I had reported. (When slowing down for a moment and trying to accelerate the transmission would get stuck between gears for a moment)

So time will tell.
