Leather wrapped shifter on the 06 Lincoln LT
Anyone seen the new Lincoln LT shifter? Thought it was pretty cool. I wouldn't mind having that on mine.

it sure is nice! I think Lincoln will do very good with this one! (Especially compared to the Blackwood)
I must say though, I am suprised they did not drop a 5spd or 6spd auto into it!
BTW- I agree, that shifter looks really nice, but does anyone know where there is a up-close picture of it?

If you click on the second picture in the first row of interior pics, it shows about the closest shot. You can see the stiching. The first pic on the bottom line of interior pics is close also. Those are the only one's I've seen though.
We need a part number for the Lincoln shifter ****. The shifter is definately the cheesiest thing on my truck. It HAS to go!

I think Ford might have shot themselves in the foot with the LT personally. Considering you can make a trip across the way and buy Lariat or King Ranch F150s that are just as nice if not nicer. Although we've already got orders for LTs, so who knows. It's a definite improvement from the Blackwood in any case though.
There's probably no part no. because the truck's not even out yet. I don't think our shifters are cheesy. I just like the idea of a leather wrapped shifter. And I don't think Ford shot themselves in the foot with the LT. It's just another step up in luxury(or different trim package) for those who want to pay for it.

I just saw you can build and price one on Lincoln's website. There aren't too many options to choose either; 4x4 or 4x2, color, limited slip diff, and about half the other options of an F150. I think they're slated to show up at dealers in another 2-4 months. I could dig the ebony wood trim in my truck though.
