It was a joke

FYI to anyone who may have read my thread on the Wiper on the Steering wheel.......I was just joking around. Sorry to anyone who has a legit problem, no harm intended.

Rockpick- I realize people do have problems with their cars and trucks and myself included, I just figured that poking fun at something that was totally crazy ie; wiper on the wheel was too crazy to take serious, I could have said something like why did Ford put rubber tires on my truck, but I didn't. This is a good form and it has helped me and many others in the past and I will watch what I say from now when trying to lighten up the mood here. The last thing I want to do is poke fun at someone with a serious problem or one that they think is serious.

I want to leave my key on while I sit in the cab and clean the dashboard. I want to do this so the door dinger doesn't drive me crazy, but I am afraid it will weld the ignition points together, and it will never run again.....

If you fill the rubber tires with concrete it will fix the problem, but may introduce "the vibe" if you don't jack the truck up off the ground for a week while the "ballast" cures.

Don't ask me how I know this.

No harm man. Honestly, I probably came home in a bit of a crappy mood and it struck me in the wrong manner.

This has been discussed hundreds of times.

The distributor is located under the transfer case.

Have fun getting it out - its attached with one tablespoon of Lock-Tite Red and 190 lbs ft of torque.

I had to cut mine off with a plasma cutter. Luckily the distributor from a 1977 Mustang II is a direct replacement and attaches with Super Glue.

There are pic's of the removal and install in my gallery.

Wall Mart has plasma cutters on sale this week. I might pick one up, in case I ever need to remove my distributer.

I am worried about my truck. Every time I hit the brakes, I feel a vibration in the wiper switch.

I got a flat at my brother's place the other day. Couldn't get my spare down (winch was frozen solid), luckily the front wheel from my nephew's big wheel was a perfect fit! Thank god Ford makes these trucks so easy to fix!

Every time I put my left turn signal on my truck turns to the right. Took it to my dealer and the tech said "next time you put the left signal on, move the steering wheel to the left". That fixed my problem! It was all covered by warranty too!
