I see we have a bunch of cyclists out there. Lets do something different. How bout some shots of our nice trucks with our alluminum or carbon rides mounted. People will get an idea of the different ways we are hauling our bikes around. I'll have to get some shots of mine and post later. I would like to see who is riding what.

In So AZ, we have to dodge the cactus and the rattlers...
I'll get the camera out this weekend and get some pics of the MTBs in the truck. I have Sportworks Instagater racks for the bigger bikes and a Sportworks hitch mount for when our daughter rides with us.

I don't have a picture but I did see a mildly lifted yellow FX4 with an Undercover Tonneau Cover. It had some bike tites(mounts that attatch to the drop out of your front fork) right on the cover itself. I am thinking about getting the Undercover for this reason. From what I understand, it is light but super stong. I wonder if it is somehow reinforced. The other think about the undercover was it was not painted and looked extremely durable.

Are the rear wheels just resting on the tail gate? could the bikes fitted into the bed if the fork clamps had been fitted further forward on the toolbox? i'm only asking because i'm going through the age old dilema of super crew or supercab because of the need to mount bikes in the bed. I won't have a tool box, do you think i could fit bikes inside the bed rather than sticking out like that?
No pictures yet but I ride a Litespeed Ultimate and a K2 Razorback. Hey RockySquirrel..did I ever tell you the time I kicked someones **** for delibertly hitting me with their mirror? It was actually funny. You see, once he hit me and was laughing about it, I caught him (surprise) at the red light and pulled him from his chevy by his hair. Your comments are not welcome and hitting cyclists nothing to joke about. I am sure you were just trying to be funny, right??
Well done bootlegger. I've had coke cans thrown at me from passing cars and tried to catch them at the light but no luck yet. Let me see coke can thrown out of a car going 50 miles an hour+speed at which thrown - 18 to 20mph still equals a projectile going 30+ I wonder what that would do to somebody if it actually hit them. Ignorance!
Marzipan,
The bikes usually sit in the bed. I had the back tires resting on a tool box for the pic.
Beardoge, have you bought a mountain or road bike lately? They can be very expensive and just tossing them into the bed of a truck would be hard for me to do. Mounting them like this keeps them from moving around and being scratched dinged up.

no offense but
I don't see the humor. Five cyclist in my town alone were killed by motorist last year and many more injured by careless, impatient, angry motorists. Anyway, I was hoping this thread would not turn into this.

I ride this cycle...
...and I carry a 12 oz ball bearing in my pocket at all times while riding. People mess with me all the time...never had to use the ball bearing...hopefully, I never will.
