Tint

How many of you have tinted over the factory tint on a supercrew?
How dark did you go?
How dark is too dark?

We should be taking delivery tomorrow and this is the first thing I will have done.
Thanks

I had 20% put on the very back window w/factory tint. you can still see in some during the daytime, but it's darker at night. It helped to cut down on car headlights behind me. If I had to do it all over again, I would go with 5% on the very back window w/factory tint. I did not tint over top of the rear door windows w/factory tint but I did have 35% put on the front side windows (no factory tint).

Cost me $100 for the tint job: 2 front windows and very back window.

20% on the front to match the factory. Plenty dark w/o being dangerous at night.

^guys, he's not asking if you tinted the front windows to match. he wants to know if you tinted overtop of the factory tinted rear windows.

Yes, I did tint the back window with 5%... its too dark at night. I have a regular cab and the back window and the little windows on my small suicide doors are 5%. I have to roll down the windows and look out my side mirrors to back up at night.

If I could do it all over again, I still would. Even though I have already taken out a mailbox backing up so far, I would still do it again. the good outweighs the bad.

I had 5% put on my back and small side windows and 35% on my doors and I think it looks great. You can barely tell if there is someone in the truck when you walk up from the side.

I put 5% overlay on the factory tint... horrible at night to drive, but i LOVE it.... I LOVE IT... I LOVE IT!!!!! I also put 5% all the way around, limo'd the whole da** truck out...... I was going to do the front windshield at about a 60% but opted out.... but yes, I like having the 5% over the factory tint..... I think it looks great, but then again, I have a black truck and limo'd windows on black looks beautiful... IMO...

I went with 5% on all four sides and back widow. Its real dark at night (and kind of hard to see out of when backing up) but looks great (I have a solid black truck too)! I would deffenitly do it again!

I went with 5% around for the front and rear windows on my truck, and they just went over the factory tint. The rear windows are completely blacked out now, and the front windows are quite dark. I would probably recommend not doing 5% on the front windows as it is very dark inside the truck and on a cloudy day you cant see the instruments on the dash, especially the speedometer. At night you cant see squat out your front windows.

The truck does look alot better with 5% on all the windows (excluding windshield of course).
Later Trev

Seriously... 5% all around, ON TOP of your factory stuff? I just don't get it... it may look neat, but only being able to see out the front window at night is nuts IMHO.

Just get the front to match, it's plenty dark & nobody can see you at night, and only a dark shadow during the day.

LOL...thanks!

I like my 24s but I sure wish I had went with 26s (if the tires themselves hadn't been so expensive I would have to start with). These trucks are so big they even make 24s look small....well maybe not SMALL but you know what I mean!
