Front Windshield Air Leak Resolved!

I posted in another thread of my 2 previous trips to the service department with an air leak coming in the top of the front windshield. They first said it was because of my in-channel vent visors on the doors and the new body design. Yeah right.. 2nd trip they had a glass company come by and reseal the inside of the top of the windshield.. wrong answer #2!

I had told them several times it happened after it turned cold the first time... 3rd trip was straight to an glass company (the dealership told me to just take it to them) and voila! problem solved... altho they said it took them awhile to find it.

They reglued the trim on the top of the windshield on the OUTSIDE, air was leaking in all across the top, they figured it out by putting tape down across the entire top of the windshield molding and drove the truck.. airflow stopped.. took the tape off, airflow again.

If you have this problem, might want to try putting some masking tape of some kind along the top of the windshield and drive it. If this helps, take it to the dealership so they can fix it. Hope this helps

I have a 2004 FX4, at 1200 miles I started to hear a wind noise at the top of my windshield that was not there before. They replaced the windshield. Problem solved.
