Although the rain has not stopped, I could wait no longer so I filled my tank with Sunoco 94 Ultra and installed the "special 94 ocatane" tune that Mike set up for me in the X-Calibrator.
The reason I say "special" is that I am the only one with this tune so far as I am being somewhat of a guinea pig.
So far I am very impressed with the throttle response and overall driveability of the truck. The 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts under WOT are overwhelming as the truck lunges with each of them. Once the rain stops and the roads dry I will do some more testing and post the results here. (Its not fun when the truck goes sideways on the upshifts on the wet roadway)
In the Spring when the local 1/4 mile tracks open I will be testing all 3 tunes that he installed for me and I will also post those results and differences between each here.
It will not be the same going to the track without my 12.30's Lightning or 11.50's Cobra, but I think this behemeth 4x4 SCrew is going to surprise a lot of people.....

 

do you have the 4.6 or the bigger 8? I'm thinking of getting a tuner as well. How much did it cost you and can you adjust the speedo for tire size like some other tuners?

I'm also thinking about getting a tuner for my truck. Should be getting make tax returns back in the next couple weeks and will probably be getting one then, but want to know where's the best place to buy them.

 

My Supercrew has the 5.4 with 3:73 LS rear end.
I chose the X-Calibrator this time with 3 tunes. I have used everything form a single program Superchip up the the 9100 SCT, all tuned by Mike for different vehicles I now have, or have owned.
The only tuner I could change was the SCT 9100 with the email upgrade package. But the only way I could change it was with an email upgrade from Mike. I have no desire to be able to dial in my own timing. A/F, and etc. I KNOW that when Mike sets up a programmer for me that it is done properly........
