Tonneau Prices???

Ok, I have seen all the arguements on which hard cover to buy, but not as much on pricing. Im trying to locate the best deal to have shipped, on any brand. If you have information on cheaper dealers, post them up. Thanks

Hard cover by mail order is risky. Paint is likely to be damaged upon delivery. What happens if it doesn't fit to your liking can you return it? Will they pay the shipping? Will they pay if the color doesn't match?

If you buy local you will most likely have to pay taxes, but maybe they will install it free. If the paint is damaged or it doesn't fit properly you can deal local. If there are problems down the road you probably will be able to purchase replacement parts...

There are three big companies which have been in business for a long time each. Leer, Snugtop, and A.R.E. each have good product and I don't really think you could go wrong with any of them.

If you don't want a painted cover get an undercover. They work well and are inexpensive.

Prices in my area Nashville Tennessee

Undercover $500
ARE LSII $699 LSX $899
Leer 700 $831
Snug Top ??
******* ?? depends upon model, drill install or not, painted

I'm pretty sure the only covers I listed above which people ship are the ******* and Undercover. ARE LEER and Snug Top only sell and ship to authorized dealers who then are not supposed to ship product outside their area.

Access $422 (IMO the best, rolls back and the vinal is of good quality) The 'limited addition' Access is the one I have for $450. It has black powder coated rails that matches my black truck nicely. But you can't see the rails unless the cover is rolled back.

Thay also make a toolbox for $180 that bolts to the tonneau rails. But it only has a 100 lb capacity. Good for mostly 'stuff' rather than a working toolbox.

One of my friends ordered a ******* hard tonneau last year and had it shipped to work for a little under $1K. It arrived in perfect shape and the color was exact. That's who I'll be ordering from!

Just get the undercover... no worries about chipped or cracked paint, less shipping costs, an awesome cover.. . dunno where to get it ultra-cheap though. I coughed up $550 or so installed by a local dealer.

Undercover is getting some of my attention. I like how light they are. They are also making a smooth version, instead of textured so it will better accept painting.

Does anyone have a True Blue truck with an undercover on it. Id like to see what it looks like.

Thanks

Undercover's website (Google makes this too dam easy).
http://www.undercoverinfo.com/index.html
Go to 'dealer locater', click on your state and you get a list of every dealer in your state. If you're lucky you won't have to mess with shipping charges.

Where in Nashville are you getting those prices? Here in Clarksville the best I got was $550+tax for undercover $861+tax for Leer 700 and $750-$1000+tax for ARE LSII and LSX. Camper Tops in Nashville was a little cheaper on the ARE tops but more expensive for the Undercover.
