No regrets with buying mine, no problems and seems to be getting better every day. Love my truck and I got the dark gray that I wanted.

Count me in the “sorry” column.

Wished I’d bought a F250 or even kept my old F250. My 04 F150 has “issues”.

I am sorry.

Not about the '04 purchase, I am just a sorry individual.

The only thing I'm sorry about is buying it in December of 2003 instead of 2004 which could have saved me big $. But it was worth it having the truck for an extra 12 months. 22k and no problems.

I'm not too happy with the truck or the wife right now, well actually the wife. She scraped the s*** out of it and ripped off one fender flare in a parking lot today. Oh well, it happens.
But other than that the truck is great, or should I say, will be great again.

Traded my '02 HD SCrew for a '04 FX4 a few months ago with no major regrets. At times I do miss the sound of the supercharger. Hopefully when the weather clears up I'll take some pictures of my FX4 to update my sig.

nope it isn't what could be so wrong and unfixable about your truck that ford should buy it back.

Maybe you have managed to overlook the onerous number of threads and individual replies related to vibration issues. If that is the case, you probably don't HAVE any vibration issues, which is good.

There are several of us, however, who have what appears to be serious mechanical issues with the 2004 F150. At this point I haven't even been able to get an FSE to look at my truck, and my dealer's service department won't even start attempting repairs because they don't have a clue what the problem is (so far they have tried several sets of new wheels and tires to fix it, but they quit doing that after 3 tries).

Others have had driveshafts, u-joints, transmissions, and rear ends replaced and at least one person has had a "frame dampener" installed. There's at least 3 people here who have been successful in getting Ford to buy their trucks back through the DSB process and another 4 or 5 who have submitted requests to the DSB. There's a whole bunch of other people like me who are still fighting through attempts to get their trucks fixed.

So you'll better understand my position, individually, I have been driving trucks since 1984. Some have been Fords and all but two have been 4x4. Two were 3/4 ton or bigger work trucks and one was a 1-ton dually; one was seriously modified in the lift & tires department. All had at least 130,000 miles on them when we parted ways.

Out of all of those- most of which were made long before the current trend of "car-like" trucks- NONE has ridden as poorly as what I now own. The only one that even approached this bad had the lift & Buckshot mudders on it.

I only put that information there so you'll understand that I didn't just park my Beemer in favor of the truck one day.

There's a bunch of people that are happy with their trucks and that's great...when I did my test drive I was impressed with everything about these new F150's. It took less than 3 weeks before I was in with problems, though.

I picked up my 04 XLT Screw on labor day...it has the V8 and a bunch of other options, LUCKILY I have had no problems with the truck. I have no vibrations (but will be on the lookout now) The truck does pull slightly to the left on the hwy. This is my first pick up and I basically love the thing. It comes in very handy being that I recently purchased a new house, and the four doors are a godsend for my family of four. I guess my real test will come when I drive it down to Daytona Beach with my bike in the bed.

I am about to put some bigger tires on it (Mickey Thompson Baja Belted HPs) Hopefully this doesn't disturb the overall handling of the truck. I am not going to lift it, just going to go with 33 x 1250 - 17.

This is my first time hearing about this vibration problem. One of my buddies fell in love with my truck so much that he is trading in his 99 Expedition for an F150 Screw. I will have to tell him to make sure he looks out for the vibration and pulling of the truck during his test drive.

I have just under 5000 miles on my truck now...hope this doesn't rear its ugly head on me!!!

Hope they can get this worked out for all of you guys as well.

How do you people get 16mpg? I don't understand it. DO you drive 35MPH? with 3.55 gears and weigh 100pds.?
