Leveling Kit Question

I would like to know if anyone has the Autospring 2.5" leveling kit installed in a 04 XLT Regular Cab with 8 ft bed and 4.6L engine. I have both kits, the 2" and the 2.5" and need to see some pics or get some feedback from 2.5" owners with a truck similar to mine.

I am going to have the dealer install them, they told me they would do it for $80 bucks. One of the techs did his 04' with the Autospring 2.5" and it looked great.

I have measured a difference of 3-1/4" to 3-1/2" from front to rear. Will the 2.5" cause my truck to be higher in the rear?

But at the same time I want it to be very level since I do not tow much or haul heavy loads often so the back end does not need to be much higher that the front.

Eric

Well... i dont have the 2.5 but I do have the 2" autospring on my reg cab stx and I measured before a difference a little over 3" and now the difference is 3/4" which means it raised it more a little more than 2.25". I know there are others out there that say the 2.5" has actally lift about 3". Hope this help in your decision. I personally went witht he 2" because to me it seems as if your nose high if you are perfectly level. IMO it looks a little better to have some rake... but not as much as ford gives us.

The 2 ½” autosprings supposedly have a problem with the upper control arm hitting the coil when you hit bumps. If you do a search, you will find a couple of people that had that problem and switched out to the 2”
