it doesn't look like the avn2454 is sirius/xm compatible. i didn't see anything about an add-on tuner on the website. however, i do have a PNP sirius receiver already. so i could use that.

1) how many sets of A/V inputs and outputs does it have?

2) does the AVN have a dedicated camera input?

3) is the BEC103 the only backup camera you can use? or can you get one of those generic cameras off ebay that just have video (yellow RCA) and ground connections?

4) will the AVN play a DVD+/-R or DVD+/-RW full of MP3's or a back-up copy of an original DVD movie that you own?

As far as I can tell..the BEC103 or BEC104 is the only camera you can use. It has 1 set of inputs which can be used for a sat connection.

I am not sure about what DVDs it will play..but mine is a Plextor DVD DL Burner PX716-sa and those work fine in the AVN.

can you burn a DVD full of MP3s and see if the AVN will play it?

BEC104 is the new model. I think it might be alittle smaller. DVD does not play MP3s...but the CD does.

AVN camera will be installed tomorrow. The other camera is installed in the trailer hitch cover. I have not figured out how I going to do the Eclipse camera. Another thought is to by a round flush mount camera and mount it in the bumper plastic..I will take pics when done. On thing I do not like about the AVN2454 is the camera does not automatically switch on when you go to reverse.

I have already inquired Eclipse about the new AVN 5495 and AVN 5435. I will have one of these to play with in the next 45 to 60 days. 5V pre outs too....

I am out of town, but yes. I got the camera installed. I used the BEC104 and mounted to the right of trailer hitch receiver on the hitch frame. It actually hangs down, but you dont really see it. I used the double sided sticky tape that came with and roughed up the surface just a little for it to stick better. I am pretty convinced that it is not going to fall off.

My only complaint is the screen does kick in automatically when you go into reverse. The new AVN5495 which I should be getting by the end of next month has the auto reverse feature.
