HOLD BACK MONEY FROM FORD

I have been told that the dealer loses the hold back money from Ford if they transfer a truck!! So the dealer that gets the truck in for you is short money before the deal!! You should beable to get a better deal from the dealer that the truck was first shipped to!!

Be happy get what you want and just think you will have a great trip back!!

Hold back, that is what I was thinking of, the dealer has to sell the truck in a certain period of time. I don't know what that period is, so they don't get that if they dealer trde or it sits on their lot over x number of days.

I'am not sure if there is a time frame to get the truck off the lot in respect to the hold back money!! but the longer the truck is on the lot the more the dealer has to pay for the truck in interest and other fees.

Whatever you do DON'T settle. It's your $. If the truck YOU really prefer is the one 500 miles away buy it. It took me 4 months of shopping to find the one with the specs i wanted.
Had many a dealer try too talk me into a sale. BUT what i wanted was what i wanted. " period "..

Besides you can use MANY different dealers for service..
Good Luck ....

Just get the truck you want with the options you want. You will regret your decision once you start making payments for a truck that you arent completly satisfied with.

The dealer I just got my 04 from dealer traded to get it. They did not care if they had to trade an 04 or an 05 for it. It made no difference to them as they got their sale and holdback.

If your chosen dealer does not want to get the 04 for you, it might be worthwhile to talk to the service manager and let him know what is going. He may go to the dealership general manager who might be willing to make a deal a salesman would not or at least confirm he will take care of you in the shop since you tried to buy it there.

The local dealer may just be leery of selling a truck to someone who knows what a conundrum is and how to use it in a sentence.
