your thoughts and input are really apprecieated.

Lots of stuff available. Depends if you want a front dash one, replace stock HU, headrest. So many choices. This is what I went with cause I wanted the NAV. Not got the NAV add-on yet (cash thing) but so far I like this one.

Kenwood DDX7015

Search the audio forum for DDX7015. This has been well covered. Yes the control work but will cost you a bit. It's like 100$ for the pac unit. If ya look at my pic, you can see the IR in the lower right hand corner of the trim piece.

There are times it's a bit hard to see depending on the sunlight. I've tinted my front windows to match the factory rear tint. I'm considering a front winshield strip as that's where I have problems at times. I'm happy with it and would do it again. I don't care for the single din motorized types. The MP3/Sat Radio rocks too.

I got a few other things at the same time.

DDX7015 was 1200, the PAC unit I think was $99 and the install charge was 150. Make sure they use the metra din plate. I had to order it from Crutchfield, Ultimate Elec. used the one that came with and looked bad since it has a 1/4" gap on one side. I had them install a monster inverter under rear seat wired to battery and pull monster cable A/V inputs under rear seat too for a digital camera, misc. other stuff.

Oh and the Sirius stuff was part of the install. The receiver was like $75 and antenna, I can't remember.

jperea,

That looks pretty cool. Did you install it yourself? Were did you snag the power from? Where did you get it?

Yes I installed it myself. I had to run power, ground, and audio down to behind the stereo. I used the same power feed that the stereo uses so that it would stay on along with the stereo. I ran the audio into the AUX input on my deck. I ran the wires through the headliner and down behind the grab handle on the driver's side, then to behind the deck. It was actually a pretty easy run. I got the unit from Crutchfield. It was a refurb that I picked up from their outlet for $800. Came with two sets of wireless headphones also. It's a Sony Dream System, MV-900SDS.
