Drivers door hard to close in the freezing temps
Is anyone else having problems trying to close your doors in the frigid cold? My drivers door wants to be slammed to close, and it only does this when it's frozen. Of course it's either too warm when it's at the dealership, or it's warmed up in the shop.

I just experienced the same problem with my 2004 f150 on Christmas Eve. The only way I could resolve the problem was to cycle the outside door handle several times, and that seemed to resolve the problem.. THe funny thing is I didnt seem to have this problem last winter.. Weird... :santa:
It does it to me too when it's about -35 i can't close it at all. All i do is let the truck warm up for about 5 mins then it gets the lock warm enough so that i can slam it closed. Never really looked at it to find out why though. Maybe the grease they used is to thick in the cold???
Can't really stay in bed i have to go to work. Haha. -35 is not that bad. It was -54 C back in january. Probably be the same this year. I'm just nervous that one day i will not be able to get my door closed at all.

I had the same problem, it felt like the door was hard to close, and when I opened it, I had to pull on the door more than usual. I took WD40 to the hinges and door jams. So far, opening and closing smoothly.
