Has anybody actually added a steering wheel control interface to a aftermarket radio yet? If so which kit did you use and how was the install? Are there two plugs on the radio...one for speaker wires and power and then one for the steering wheel controls? The reason I ask is the PAC website shows a harness you tap into but it doesn't look like the main radio harness.

I have the PAC installed (sorry...had a professional shop do the install). I hooks up to the steering wheel controls and transmits via infra red (like a remote control). With that in mind, the aftermarket stereo you get much support a remote control. (hope that makes sense)

Where did you mount the LED that transmits the IR signal?

I drilled a hole in my trim plate. Since the led is so small, worked very well. Pic in my gallery. It's at the bottom right corner.
