question for those without vibes
hello, 04 screw lariat 4x4, black on black. i to bought mine as a demo with 5,800 miles on it. about 8,300 miles on it, i had to have the clutches and pinion gears replaced because the original ones they said were to tight, like a poss. traction. it hopped when going around corners. plus it developed the window rattle around 11,ooo miles, and they changed the seal on the back window. a water leak in the front passenger side floor board, which they found and sealed. i have almost 13,800 miles on it now and the rear window rattle is back, alot louder then before. fuel milage is a little low right now, but i think it will get better when it warms back up. so just a few minor problems here and i love the truck. i think i will have to keep this one. i had a 2003 f250 sduty extended cab with the 6.0 desiel and had it a year, awsome truck would of kept it(nothing compared to it) until they reprogrammed the pc and lost all power and half the fuel milage, so i traded it for this one. i wasn't going to give them another chance, but i'm glad i did, and the dealership has been great to me. good luck with your truck.
No vibe here either...if it makes you feel any better...the vibe issue is like 1% of all the manufactured trucks (inmho).
Think of how many Ford has made and the ones that have the issue...its probably small amount if you look at it that way.
I have 7500mi and still running strong.

No problems here either, have had my truck over a year now with 8330 miles on it now, with no vibes. Rotated tires once, and replaced the wheels and tires yesterday with much better looking ones. Wouldnt have believed the ride could get better if I had not experienced it myself. Must be the new Michelins (gotta love em). If I were you I would enjoy the truck and stop worrying about the vibe you dont have, the ones that do are usually isolated incidents. I havent heard of anyone in my area having a problem with the vibe and there are a bunch of new F150s on the road here now. Oh teah, almost forgot, welcome aboard.
:santa:
Thanks for the replies! But to my dismay I noticed the differential is howling a bit at 46-50 mph. Of course once a ring and pinion starts howling it only gets worse. I guess I'll have to search for info and TSBs and hope it can be repaired without giving the truck the vibes!
