I wanted a SCREW.. FORD helped
I have now talked to about 6 dealers from San Diego to the Bay area to Central valley.
The lowest price I could get for a 39,500 MSRP was to pay 36,000 out the door. None of them want to seem to haggle much. One told me that since the F150 is the best selling truck he'll just sit on the 74 on his lot and eventually they will sell. Lets see what he says on Dec 30th.

The sticker on my 04 Lariat Screw 4x4 was $42K. With A-plan and rebates I paid around $29K. The dealer must sell you at the correct price if you use X or A-plan as paperwork is sent to FordMoCo and audited. He is definately Supercrew'n you. Find another dealer

maybe you should go to this guys territory, or at least out of state if you are close enough.
A few % on taxes could make it worthwhile.

First thing I do when buying a new truck is go to www.kbb.com (Kelly's Blue Book). Pick the new truck you want with all the options. It'll show you what the dealers invoice is on the truck with rebates. This is the price I use to buy a new truck. I always work a cash out the door price with no trade in. When you start talking trade in there's all kinds of tricks the dealer can put on you.
Then go to www.invoicedealers.com. These guys will sell you a truck at $500 over invoice. I haven't had to buy one from them because I tell the dealers in my area, I'm buying a truck at this price. Now do you want my business or not.
