I tried search and find the info on F150 axles and got the mix info that i really need to know..

Ok, what i need to know is what axle do F150 4x4 (XTL or FX4) have on our truck in rear? and the front ?

You know like Dana 44, 9.75, 9" ettccc

Not the heavy duty package tow group- 10.25"

I will guess that you have the 9.75. I just met another forum member here who has an 04 4WD and he upgraded to 4.56 gears. I bought his old 3.73 gears for my 02 2WD. We both have the 9.75 rear axle. I'm not sure what your front axle is.

 

Look on your rear axle, there should be a tag attached , usually by way of one of the differential cover bolts. This will tell you what axle you have and the gearing.

 

you got a 8.8 reverse cut ifs in the front and a 9.75 in the rear
