Low Profile Bug sheild

I purchased the factory low profile bug sheild, and I was wondering if anybody else was having this loud wind noise. Seems like since I installed it.....it sounds like a wind storm outside. Has anybody else had this noise issue?

gonna be louder cuz u altered the aerodynamics of the front end. Hood rattle is no good tho, i thought i heard that the new ones dont rattle the hood, some kind of recall.

I have a low profile carbon fiber AVS bug shield and have no problems with it.

Is there a TSB on the hood rattle? I noticed this once on the highway at above 75 on a short trip. Is the hood made of something other than metal? ...because it looks like fiberglass when the wind gets under it. I think I tested it once with a magnet and it didn't stick?

Hood rattle

I have one. I don't have wind noise, but horrible hood rattle/jumping @ 60+ mph. Could this be a manufacture defect in the hood?

I put in spacers on the bolts the grill mounts to too compensate
for the space the shield creates. The shield thickness has too be accounted for ( a item they don't bring up in the directions )
results are 1: no warping of the upper grille
2: no wind noise or hood shake..

Hood Shake

I have a low profile bug shield and had the hood shake also and it was really bad around 70 or so but fixed it. The rubber weather stripping under the hood near the windshield does not produce a strong enough seal up against the hood. The 1/2 inch or so bubble in the seal needed reinforcement. I saw a technical write up about it somewhere (can't remember where) and remembered what they did. I pulled a 1/2 rope (write up says to use the right size rubber hose that will snuggly fit into the bubble of the OEM) through the OEM seal's bubble to make it tight up against the hood when closed. I took it out on the highway and obseved all the way up to about 80mph and no shake at all. I guess they were right. If you need pics or more description, email or reply back.

I just had the low profile Ford shield installed on Monday. I didn't notice any noise while driving around the past few days.
