Taking Care of soft tonneu in the Winter?

Was wondering if i should take my OEM ford soft tonneu cover off for the winter? We dont usually get very cold temps, usually -15 is as cold as it gets (celsius). Should i take it off or will it be fine left on?

Oh yeah! I've swarn off soft covers!! Don't open it in the winter!!! It's not impossible to get back on, but it is a fight.

Shrinkage is normal in the cold.

Or was my wife just trying to make me feel better?
