Door and Body panels

Is it just me or does the door and body panels on these new trucks seem to be paper thin. Every time I enter my code to unlock the door I can see the whole door panel move. My 2000 F-150 seemed to have thicker metel than this. I guess this is just one more cost savings to Ford while it is one more price increase to us.

Probably has more to do with the larger area of the door. Unless they put supports all throughout the door, you're going to get SOME movement. If they add enough support so it won't move at all, this thing would be as heavy as an M1 Abrams tank. Almost is now anyway

go look at the "truth about trucks" section on Ford Vehicles dot com... and you may rethink the cost savings angle.

Some things have been made cheaper, but far more things out of sight have been improved (at a cost)

Ford publicly stated that it costs more to make this truck than the previous.

Some of that stuff on Ford's site (truth about trucks) was pure sales talk. But, I was happy to see a lot of that. The core of the truck truly is built better than the other brands. Good thing, since I'll have it another 8 years or so. By then, I'll be allowed to buy a nice F250 Lariat 4x4 w/turbo diesel. vrooom vrooom
