Removing ash tray from flow through console?

Any tips on removing the ash tray door assembly? doing a search only led me to pull hard which I don't know if this method is different for the set up with a flow through console.
Thanks
Chris

You will need to remove the bezel around the radio. To do this, open the ashtray, gently pulling up the bezel from the bottom, working your way up around the radio, both sides. There are clips holding it on. Then you will see two 9/32 hex head screws, that holds the ashtray assembly in. Remove them, and lift up and out the entire ashtray assembly.

Thanks, is it any different in the Lariat with the auto climate control? I saw the pics with the normal A/C connections.

nope, just make sure that you disconnect the 2 connections to the auto climate control, and the one for the Passanger airbag light.

It's actually 7mm bolts. All new vehicles are built with mostly if not all metric bolts. I guess the americans are starting to catch on to an easier way to count.

Just buggin.. 9/32 is the same as 7mm. But the bolt is 7mm.
