Limited Slip - Normal Operation?

Well, I've been playing when it's wet out (so as to not wear out the tires too badly). Here's the thing. If the roads are wet and I'm turning to the left, I can break BOTH rear wheels loose and slide it sideways. However, if I do the same thing, but turn to the RIGHT, no slide - only inside rear wheel (passenger side) spins.

Is this normal for the limited slip rear end? Was hoping I could do the same turning in either direction.

Lariat 4x4 w/3.73 LS rear end.

I miss my truck. I'm out in Denver for work. Going home tomorrow though.
I had a chance to swing over to the Rocky Mountain National Park though...that was nice

A limited slip is just that - limited. It's not like a full locker that forces both wheels to get equal power at all times. With your LS, power is still provided to both wheels, but the torque is not equally split. Check this out for a little more in-depth lesson:

is the left turn identical to the right?

People tend to turn tighter for rights as they are used to larger left turns due to normal city driving.

Even off road, I think most people will not make the left as tight as the right.

I can turn hard to the left or just a little to the left...either way, it always locks up on left turns.
