Newbie Here

I know nothing about offroading or trucks. I've been into cars since I started driving and had 97 Camaro SS 30th Anniversary and I am currently selling my 2000 Trans Am with 400 rwhp. As far as cars go I am technical savy.

I just got an 04 Supercrew 4x4 white. My first mod is going to be the Kenwood navigation/dvd/cd, tint. The truck already has a bed liner, tool box, and grill guard.

Im really wanting to get some pimp *** wheels. What do ya'll recommend? Money doesn't really matter. This is a daily vehicle so I dont want to ruin the mpg so I'm not gonna go huge on the tires. I was thinking 3-4 inch suspension lift in the futere.

But as I said I know nothing about trucks. Could anyone feel me out on bad *** wheels and a decent speaker system.

Also, I'm wanting dual exhaust, I want it deep, don't really want it LOUD, i've had that with my cammed Trans Am. I want to be able to talk in the cabin.

Thanks for the info

Weld makes some nice off road wheels. I'd suggest a 17x8.5 or 18x8.5 inch Weld with some 35 inch BFG AT KO's or Nitto Terra Grapplers or Toyo Open Country AT's with a 6 inch Fabtech lift.

quite a step going from Camaros and TAs to a lifted 4x4.

maybe you should think more along the lines of 20" wheels on the stock truck height. Something more of a sport truck versus an offroader.

Net- that's classic... that Scuby site kills me..

Anywho, welcome aboard!!! Since money is of no concern, I second the Welds. Those are VERY well crafted, light, strong, and have a beautiful finish! And you get what you pay for! They make some very impressive styles...

Craz3d, you must not go to the "General Discussion" forum here.....else you would get it.

Thanks for the welcome. What do ya'll think about these wheels?

http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/produ...WHEELS&man=PCW

Then I was thinking a Rancho 4 inch lift and some shocks (dont know what). Is it a big deal if I get 20's and off road? This truck will see some mud but more highway. Does a lift affect gas mileage or just how big the tire is? I'm assuming the tire. Those 20's are pretty pimp that that guy is selling. Or those *** wheels are very tempting

also what is the bolt patter and backspacing? I dont want the wheels to stick out a whole lot where I'm slinging stuff up all the time. A little bit wont bother me.

tire size will only affect mileage if you don't regear it. If you regear it properly, it may actually improve....

Plus with those hi-quality welds (20s only wiegh 29lbs, those Pro Comp 22s are 37lbs) and not-to-large tires, your new combo will wiegh less than stock...
