Looking for info on an fx-400, yes 400

I saw an fx 400. It is supposed to be a ford made customized truck, very few made. It is factory raised. it has a bed more like the heritage than the new model. The guy who owned it quoted me a link on the ford site but I could not remember it. It even has the little plate on the front fender that that says FX-400

Was hoping someone here would know something about it.

Probably one of those atrocities at Galpin Ford.

I think those are only leveled out and then they slap some goofy fenders on to make it look taller. Unfortunately you arent gaining much more offroad capability with that thing, just a daystar leveled truck, not lifted. I wouldnt mind that prerunner bar in the front though, thats pretty nice.

Great yellow truck! That is it

I think that looks too cool. How did you find one to purchase? They should give all the f-150's those smooth lines.

Do you know of any web info?

Eddy, that bar is worthless... it offers zero protection... easier to see why on the silver model:

I gotta say I'm not impressed....

The bar isnt meant for protect, it is a prerunner light bar, not a gaurd.

I thought you were interested in the huge goofy desert racer grill guard look...I thought it was that until I went to the site.

I want a desert prerunner but not for protection, maybe a smittybuilt bumper gaurd for protection instead.
My experience with gaurds is they take away from the look of the front end and if you hit anything substaintial they fold back into your truck and do damage anyway.
That bar looks good, but yeah its got no protective value at all.

I wanna know what the "400" stands for.

It must be something very special.

"400" horsepower?
"400" girlfriends if you buy it?
"400" Snap-On tools in a Snap-On toolbox in the simulated pre-runner bed?
"400" percent over the cost of that overpriced "FTX"?

This is more troublesome than trying to figure out what was "Limited" on a Buick Limited.

I'm surprised at how many people don't like this truck. I just prefer the smoother lines. The fenders are not too outragous, just make it look a bit beefier.

I got to see one in person, perhaps it looks better that way.

Also they have some type of special grille. Wouldn't mind having it on my truck

Here's a red one that I found on Ford Truck World galleries. URL also to this member's gallery.

Looks like the fender flares are more squared. Kind of reminds me of the Chevy fender flares on their trucks. Doesn't look bad though.
