Cargo light on and interior light off??

Is it possible without running a totally separate wire and installing a new switch?

Although, I may still want the option to have them all turn on with the roller switch next to the headlight switch...who knows.

I just think it'd be nice to have the cargo light on without all of the interior lights on as well.

I've wondered this myself.

The interior lights are wired directly to/with the cargo light. Without running a new lead and a separate switch, it's not gonna happen.

This has always been my beef with Ford's. The flip side is, you should be able to turn on the interior lightswithout the cargo light coming on. In most jurisdictions, this is technically illegal. You are not supposed to have any rear facing white lights illuminated while travelling in a forward direction.

You can. Simply reach up to the little black switch on the side of the light and turn it on. My Lariat has two switches on the overhead light so I can turn on either or both 'map lights' without using the dash dimmer switch.

The dash dimmer switch turns on the main interior lights as well as the cargo light.

You may be partially in luck. I tapped into this circuit for my tonneau cover lights. Along the driver's side door sill there were two wires colored coded for dome lights (black with light blue stripe.) I think that one is the rear interior dome light, and the other is the bed light. You would still have to install a switch and do a bit of under dash wiring, but it appears that at least the wiring run was done for you.
