I like the mods - especially the FX4 emblem on the ashtray. Now, I gotta get two, one for the tailgate and one for the ashtray!!

Not sure what you meant about the center console and the airvents (in your album)???

I want to change my FX4 emblems and I emailed the Ebay guy about getting black ones (to go with the black and yellow of my FX4), but I am sticking with red for now. The silver ones look sweet on your red FX4!

 

I noticed the black leather console lid. Off a Lariat right? I noticed the difference the other day when I checked in an '05 Lariat with tan leather. I liked the cushy console lid better than mine. Looks like I better order one of those. I also like the Lariat peice over the cluster (it has a seam right on the edge) It looks better than mine too. I may have to order another FX4 emblem as well, Nice touch there on the ashtray door. I plan to eventually replace the ashtray with a DVD player and put headrest screens in, but that will be down the road a ways.

Thanks guys! I work at Ford in parts and when its slow, I am lookin for stuff for the FX4... And to answer your questions on the vents, the stock silver vents that come standard on fx4 and lariat really look like crap, so I got the black and chrome trimmed ones from the xlt models.... looks 100% better in the black interiors...

I always hated that they kept the same red FX4 sticker on a red truck,,,its like from far away all you see is the "4". Yours looks really good.
I almost did the ashtray FX4 emblem thing the other day myself as I had an extra emblem lying around, now I think I will for sure after seeing yours. Now you need one on the tailgate.
Do you have the part number handy for the console lid? The interior of these trucks could use a little more cush in select places.

FX4 emblem on ashtray door is from a 2003 Expedition with the FX4 package, only available in 03 I think??
Chrome FX4 decals on the bed are from ebay, tons of them in different colors...

Could you please tell me the part number for the FX4 badge? The truck looks great! Thanks.

 

I checked that part number for the console lid. It came back with a "Paint to match" in the description. Does this mean I have to paint or use leather dye to get the black. Or does Ford have a cross over decscription in there from another part number?

 

That part number for the '03 FX4 (off-road) Expedition liftgate emblem is Part # 2L1Z-7842528 ABB. Check my gallery for pic.

Not a problem,, the console is not paint to match... comes complete with black leather... 4 small torx screws later, your arm will thank you.....

 

Looks good. About how much does the lariat lid cost? I know you're a parts counter guy and got it at cost, but for us poor souls that have to pay full price, what am I looking at? Also glad to finally see another red/dsg FX4 scab. However, I kind of like the painted air vents.

What size is the FX4 emblem on the ashtray? I'm thinking about getting 2 of them and putting them on the door jamb threshold thing. Ya know open your door the black sticker scuff plate thing. Of course I'll put them over the F150 part, that is if they are big enough.

I changed my FX4 emblem on the bed just after purchasing my FX4. It seems odd that Ford will put a red logo on a red truck . Instead of going the ebay route, I got creative and took tissue paper and traced out the "FX" part and then transfered it to 4mil vinyl and cut them out. Did the same thing for my tailgate logo. Total cost was "my time" bc I had the vinyl gave to me by a friend.
