Hmmmm, just got mine back from the dealer, they didn't install the Ford (branded) part, they installed an Audiovox Model PRO-9775, two remotes, remote start, shock sensor.

Should I be concerned that it is not the Ford part? The alarm beeps the horn and no siren, its still loud I admit. Cost was: $400+tax.

perhaps the Ford part is just a OEM.... Mine does say Ford on it though.... and your right, the full tilt siren is loud enough to make your teeth rattle... But I have to say, the remote start is awesome!

Speaking of the alarm... how sensitive is yours? My truck, when parked and armed... the wife can pull up next to me and the truck will start chirping.... Guess I need to adjust the alarm some...

Naa, I don't have the real gold ford alarm.
For the shock sensor, if I hit the door with my hand, the alarm goes off for a few seconds, not if I go near it.
