I can't seem to find it but if i remember correctly I read a post between user YOMAN and another on this very subject..
It even had links to some pics where they had to do some trimming and how he did the wiring.. YOMAN seems like a pretty nice guy i am srue you can look up his profile and send him an email to see if it was his thread or not. He may be able to direct you to the link...JMW

I just installed it on my 04 XLT Screw and they really look nice. However, I don't have any pictures yet. I'll try to get some up next week. And yes, you do need to do a little trimming. Unfortunately, I didn't find this out until after I installed it. If you look at the bottom of your tailgate, you will notice a small rod on the right-hand side. You have to cut a notch out of the LED bar for the rod to pass thru when you open and close the tailgate.

I've been trying to cut a notch out without taking it off but haven't gotten very far yet because it's real hard to fit any type of blade in that small space.

Hope this helps.

Yup!

I have it on my truck and loving it! been thru 3 rain and no problem at all!

I have pix in my profile on fordtruck.com and you ll see where the trimming is...its piece of cake to install. its VERY SMALL to trim some plastic off and MOST people wont notice it anyway.

Its sweet !

Just be sure to clean the surface by metal sheet before press 3m sticker on and press it for few seconds..it should be secure after 30 mins or something..

ANy question, e mail me yeow tj @ msn . com

Later !
YOMAN!!!

P.S.- before you mount 3m sticker on, do not stick (leave paper label on 3m sticker) it on metal sheet, just put it on and do some marker where you ll some trim then remove label and stick it on metal sheet. BE SURE its clean before apply it on

bajabenedik,

WHy dont you remove tail gate and you ll have more room to cut it eh ??

Or unscrew 4 screws off then its off....its easy maybe you didnt realize it hehe..its removeable but the sticker 3m on bracket will stuck on metal sheet.

sjdr, from what i have read you can hook it up to your towing recepticle on your hitch or you can hard wire it to your tail lights but i haven't seen any schematics yet.
