No cel for me either. Only had it on for about 400 miles. More power, nice growl when you hit the gas. Easy install, bolted right in, took about 2.5 hours, most of that in the dark with a flashlight

I got the K&N "Aircharger" as well. I've had it on for about 10k miles with no problems. It's hard to tell about the mpg's and performance, I installed the tuner and exhaust around the same time as the intake. I understand if you are in california, the k&n is not carb certified yet, but this intake is not having the same cel problems, confusion on what screws to use etc. as other intakes.

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but I think k&n has been around a lot longer than then other manufacturers and is very reputable. This is why I chose k&n.

Just my $.02.

I haven't noticed any problems at all. I just went and checked to see if there was any indentions on the hood liner, none.

The rubber on the top of the heat shield is supposed to come in contact with the hood when the hood is closed. That way it doesn't suck hot air from the engine compartment.

i noticed it looks like the TB was moved from the upward position, is it? i thought that some intakes had elbows where u dont have to do that, i know the Volant does, and the AEM does....

K&N has an elbow, it goes between the TB and the intake manifold. You remove the TB, attach it to the elbow and then install the elbow onto the intake manifold.

If I was to make one complaint about the k&n it is that since the throttle body is raised up by the elbow, there is a wire (not sure what it does) on the left of the tb that is a little too taught for my taste. It connects but....

Did you have this problem MadMarty??

I contacted k&n and made them known to this issue.

I had the same issue. I thought it was just a K&N issue, but on the Airraid I saw the same wire was just as tight.
