Day time running lights
Looking to possibly install daytime lights in the fog lights. Wondering if anyone has done this and liked the look. Also, wondering if it would effect the fog lights and the part name and number? Any thougths

Just installed the module last saturday.A little time is involved to run the wires and splice into the 3 different harnesses.
Runs off your headlight though not the fogs.
I think the fogs might be tied into your dash lights so your radio would dim if you had them running in the daytime.
Wiring up to the headlights does not create this problem.
I bought the module from ford for 65 bucks then found someone on ebay that is selling what looks like the exact same module(minus the ford sticker) for 12.95 plus ship.
Ordered one for momma's truck and will verify if fogs are tied into dash lights and if ford stuck it to me.

Had a chance to wire up mommas truck with the DRL I got off Ebay.Everything went fine so if you dont mind saving $45 grab the module off Ebay. Pacific Insight makes all DRL modules for Ford and GM.
The Ford module and Insight module are the same except for wire colors and 1 wire is tapped into a different wire.They both work exactly the same.
Messed around to try to get them to work off fogs but gave up.
Still like knowing I dont have to worry about headlights being on anymore.

I bought the module from ford for 65 bucks also and it works great. I had the dealer install it for me, couldn't find the time to install it. I looked around at the other modules and figured if it was from Ford it would hookup better with the right colored wires.
