Daystar installed

I installed the Daystar kit on my truck today. Not too bad overall. I'm glad there is a auto hobby shop on base that had a wall mounted spring compressor. I had the most trouble putting the struts back in after I'd installed the spacers. I'm not sure who posted the suggestion to disconnect the sway bar, but that really did the trick. I gained right at 2.5 inches and now the front is 1/4 inch lower that the front.

I'll be getting an alignment in the next couple days, just to make sure. The BFG cost too much to replace before I wear them out.

I'll post pics tomorrow, I ran out of light today.

I've never been to Dyess, spent 7 years at Sheppard. Texas was great. Is your truck parked since you're deployed?

Actually sold the old truck before I left. I'll have a 2005 Screw waiting for me when I get off the plane. I ordered it a week or so ago. That's how I found this website doing a little research. 7 years at Sheppard. You an instructor of some kind? How do you like your truck? Any Problems?

No problems at all. Drives great, quiet, power. I've made some fairly quick and easy mods, tires and wheels, cold air intake, fender flares, and now the leveling kit. That was the most involved. Down the road I'm looking at the 1714 tuner and exhaust. I'll have to wait awhile for the wife to calm down.

I've seen alot of info here about the vibe and some other problems, I've had none of them.

I was an instructor there, finished my degree and got comissioned.

What model Screw are you getting?

I ordered a FX4 with every option that is available. That is what I think that I'll want when I get back.

I got lucky with the dealer and they just ordered it with no deposit or anything. So if I get back and decide that I want something different then I'll just buy a different one.

It's nice to have cash, they really don't want to tell you no about pretty much anything. I didn't know by looking on the internet what I would like and what I wouldn't, but I wanted to have what I thought I wanted waiting for me.

Sharp looking set up! What size wheels did you go with? They look smaller to me, but that could be the fact that they are dark wheels.

Like those tires!

Thanks Tuff.

The wheels are 17x8. Now, after the leveling kit, I wish I had gotten bigger tires. Oh well, there is always the next set.
