Tires on an Fx4 18" wheel

Alright I know that the subject of the tire and wheel combo for the 18" wheel has about been beat to death but I have a question regarding to that and can't seem to find it when I do a search. I want to put the 35"x12.50x18" BFgoodrich tire underneath my Fx4 with stock wheels, By the way I have the Daystar leveling kit. I know it will fit because one of my friends has the exact same truck with the Daystar and the 35"s and no rubbing even on a full turn into the driveway. My question is: Will the larger tires (35"s) eventually mess anything up mechanically? I'm worried about transmissions and other stuff that would change my mind about a larger tire.
Thanks
Keaton

ClemsonFX4-
are you in clemson now or still in chuck town?? i would love to see another FX4 with the daystar near mine so i can determine if my bed sits lower or it is my imagination... ive alwayse heard that when you go larger than 33" you have to start thinking about re gearing, i dont think it would do anything drastic if you wait for awhile before you got new gears, but it would definatley be harder on the truck till then.

I'm still in chucktown right now however I'm leaving for Clemson this Thursday to go to the O.A.R concert up there. I think I'm leaving to come back to chucktown maybe Saturday. If you want to see my truck just shoot me an email and I'll give you my cell phone number.

Well, taller tires will be harder on your drivetrain than stock tires. However I don't think they will cause as much wear and tear as constantly towing and hauling heavy loads. Remember, you are only talking about going to a 35, not a set of 44's.

I understand I'm not taking a drastic change and it's the same as running the tires with lift. I would just love any opinions of people running 35"s or people who can honestly say "it won't mess up your truck". As soon as I hear these words they're going on. Keep in mind I drive from Clemson to Charleston (a 4 hour drive) a few times a month and have put 12000 miles on my truck in the past 4 months.

You're gonna get tired of listening to them mudgrips howlin after a while.. Bad thing is BFG doesn't make an AT in this size tire. If they did I'd jump on them. I got the daystar also, just trying to get another 10-15000 out of the stockers before buying the bigger ones. By then I will have read all the cons of the bigger tires on stock drivetrains.

I've got BFG mud grips on my truck and the only time I notice any sound or vibe at all is at very slow speed, less than 5 mph. Anything faster and the truck is just a quiet as the useless han**** tires that came stock.
