Speaker harness needed?

Is there a speaker harness available to upgrade stock speakers, or do I have to hard wire them in? thanks

goto Best Buy, they are like $5. I think 98-up Ford speaker adapters work.

Speaker harness? I've never heard of that before. I've heard of a harness for the decks but not the speakers. What is this?

They're usually a plastic connector with 2 wires leading out, on the other end of the wires are speaker connection terminals. The molded plastic piece connects to the factory plug. -which is normally connected to the original speaker.

They just simplify installation, no worries for polarity/color and no cutting required

as long as you are sure of the polarity, you can hardwire them. What I did with mine was to unsolder the plug from the factory speaker and solder it to the new one. Just makes for a neater install.
