Autospring is the way to go if you often feel phatom vibes/stiffnes/etc.. whenever someone tells you it will.

I've got a daystar kit sitting in my bedroom floor. Should I sell it and by an autospring instead? I don't want to mess with the ride. What do y'all think? (I'm from Kentucky, I can say "y'all")

Where did you have your leveling kit installed? I am in Miami and am looking for installation of the Auto Spring kit at a reasonable price.

I had a local tire shop install mine. It cost $65. to install the lift kit and another $59.95 for the alignment. I live near the Kennedy Space Center, that’s about 3 ˝ hours from Miami.

Seriously, it's NOT going to mess with your ride. JPdadeo may say it does... but if I recall.. HE DOESN'T HAVE A DAYSTAR!!

Daystar owner here. It rocks. Get off your **** and put it in.

Just installed the autospring kit today, they ride a little higher in the front then the rear which if I remember right in the instruction it said it might until alignment procedure is done. I should have the alignment done on friday and Ill post pics/measurements and let you guys know.

I dont think the rear goes up, I went and measured mine and Im at just a little over 9 1/2" on the rear. It seams that your truck is sitting a little higher than mine did stock front and rear. Is yours an 04 or 05?
Thanks for the info xdodgeguy.
My truck is a 04, and it just probably sits about 1/2" higher in the front only that yours did when stock. Anyways, I am probably going to get the 2" Autosprings and see what happens.

So far I have only received good feedback on both lifts, so I don't think I can go wrong with any of them. I am just going to go with the easiest to install and less expensive, the Autosprings.

FYI if you do it yourself its fairly easy, you will need various sizes of wrenches the largest being a 1 1/8 (lower strut nut 1 1/16 for the lower strut bolt), I only say its easy because I have worked on suspension before but for the shade tree mechanic its not bad. good luck
The nice thing I noticed is that all of the nuts I removed all had the nylon inserts, when did ford change to that as its not on my 03 car....

I'm not into measuring, but the 2" A/S leaves the truck slightly lower in the front, looks perfect to me...The ride is great, easy to install, and IMO the $ was well spent. There's allot of threads on this subject, and everybody has an opinion, especially once they've installed the lift of thier choice, obviouslly nobody wants to do it twice, so the kit of thier choice is the best, even when simple physics tells them differentlly, ergo. compress the spring and you get a harder ride. That's simple.

Exactly, the “Law of Physics (spring compression) Hooke’s Law”

I'm not denying the laws of physics. However, such minor compression has no effect on the percieved ride quality.

It's the same argument as exhaust systems. "Uhhh.. Brand X flows more air then Brand Y, thus putting more HP to the ground and is far superior". Well 5 extra HP, wooptie doo! The driving expieriance is the SAME.

Point is the Daystar is an excellent option for a front lift. Plus, the polymers it's made of are more forgiving that a hard metal hunk for a spacer. Perhaps even aiding in keeping the smooth factory ride. Who knows, I'm not an engineer. But I do know my truck's ride is still flippin' awesome, even after I compressed my front springs!!!

Law of Physics should tell you that the ride isn't going to change if you just moving your coilover mount down 2" like the autospring kit.

This has got to be one of the most unhelpful threads. Going to do some researching.
