I think I saw that this was available on the Navigator, or the Escalade or something. I love the rear sensors and I wouldn't mind having them on the front.

But no, the F150 doesn't offer this.

Are people just getting so lazy as not to look? Forgot which european automaker, but one now has a "blind spot" system and throws a amber light next to the mirror if someone is next to you.

I think a sensor in the front would be great, especially in my situation. We have a really short driveway, which our truck barely fits on. You have to get within a foot of the garage door so the truck wont be hanging off into the street. The last thing I want to do is run into the door in my dads truck. My brother has run into it with the car, and it did some damage. Where the truck would hit, it would do some major damage if it went into the door. So, a front sensor would be really nice to have, even more so than the reverse.

I’ve seen aftermarket-sensing kits available that could be used on the front.

Ya know, I think it would be too. I don't have an enourmous garage and my 01 fits nose to tail within it. Knowing exactly how much room I have on the front end would be kind of nice.

We need an electrical engineer here who can investigate the possibility of adding more sensors to the existing unit. Anyone?

But yes, there are aftermarket systems available. In fact you can buy them on Ebay as well.

How about one of those floor mats that are specific for a garage. They are called Parking mats. You know the type, it has two "bumps" on it.

Here is a link to view it:

If you really wanted to go "High Tech" there is the old reliable tennis ball on a string trick. You hang it from the ceiling and it will hit your windshild when you are in the proper spot
