Waggy again. Now I don't want to jump to conclusions, but after reading the thousands of posts and replies about 2004 defects, the DSB, and Lemon Laws, I have reason to believe that even after we try to do everything to my truck, Ford will most likely have to buy it back. However, one thing that I have not seen (or may have overlooked) in these posts is the exact amount of buyback. Yes, I understand that they do take money out for your usage. However, exactly how much. Is it a certain cost per mile of use? General mileage range=certain amount of money? Also, has anybody been to a DSB in Texas? Close to College Station? I took my case to the DSB over the Driveline Vibration and Steering Wheel Nibble. I won and the DSB gave me a choice of new truck or refund.
Ford Motor Co. has to refund all my payments, trade in/down payment and any after market add-ons like my spray-on bed liner. I took my truck in for the problems at 2300 miles so I'll have to pay usage of about 0.22 cents per mile. (orginal truck price x mileage / 100000=deduction) If I wanted a new replacement truck I would have to pay for any vehicle upgrades above my original MSRP. No rebate or special promotions can be used on the replacement truck pricing. The replacement truck must come from the dealer’s stock or dealer trade. All aftermarket accessories that can be transferred to the new truck will be done at Ford’s expense and repayment for parts that can not be removed. If the replacement truck is priced less the original the owner can receive a credit. The dealer can deduct for any abnormal wear and original truck invoice parts that are missing. Any damage or abnormal wear must be repaired/paid by the owner. There are more restrictions on a new truck so if they give you a choice why not take the money and just order just what you want, that’s a no brainier.
I've now had the truck for 13 months and 22,000 miles and will turn it over to my dealer when my check comes in about 3 weeks. My advice is to take the truck in for service ASAP because your case could start at that point. The DSB can only help you if your problems are discovered and serviced within the warranty period of the truck.

My bad...
NO no no....my bad. Should have clarified what I meant. I've taken my truck in twice (both have been held for over a week; this last time its been in for almost two), once for rims tires new rotors, pads, and fixing some "engine malfunctions". No help whatsoever. This last time they are replacing the back end to get rid of the whine and screwing with the engine more (as well as a possible new tranny, ugh!!!). It's been goin in back and forth, and what i MEANT to say was that this sounds like a repetitive SSDD (same s*** different day) like everyone else. My bad for not clarifying; i just needed to get some stuff straight that way im prepared IF i need to take it to the DSB, ill keep yall on notice.
