Good reason for bumper grill
Good reason for bumper grill
I went deep sea fishing last week and took the new truck. We went out on two separate trips and both times when we returned all i could think about was my beer drinking buddies getting in the new truck reeking of fish... We caught more than we could reel in by the way, let me tell you a fifty pound amber jack puts up one hell of a fight. Any way back to the story, after I returned I parked the truck in the garage as usual. Came out the next morning and the garage smelled like a big dead fish, oh crap! new I should not have taken my vehicle. I washed the truck twice and sprayed the under carriage to no avail, about three days later the smell got even worse so i got desperate. Last night i could not take the smell anymore still thinking it was from the fishing trip I walked around the truck with my nose to the steel and found that the smell was coming from under the hood! Raised the hood, broke out the flash light, and to my surprise there was a dead bird rotting in front of the radiator. I remember hitting it about a week and a half ago. He flew right in the bumper grill and logged there. Just thought I would share this for all of you trying to decide if you need a bumper grill or not ordered mine last night!!! If you ever get a horrific smell from your truck my advice would be check your bumper grill for any dead animals

jmw00,
That's an ironic story, in that when a friend saw my lower Grillcraft grill for the first time last week, he said "at least now that hole is covered so you don't have to worry about pulling any dead critters out of there...".
I'm sorry it happened to you...
