Vibe-anoid

New term for this foum. Applies to owners like me. My truck has 2800 miles and so far no vibe problems at all (thank goodness). Now after reading all the vibe post's over the last few months I have become vibe-anoid. Whenever I drive my truck now I am on the look out for problems to start. I even find myself keeping the radio volume down waiting for the infamous clunking sound from the rear. What was that? Did I feel something? I gotta get a life......lol

I think thats the only problem for most. Go and drive a Chevy and you could find it if you looked hard enough!

That's exactly what's happening to alot of guys after reading all this stuff about vibration. It's like if you hear about a disease on the news for days on end, then you start to feel like every ache and pain is that sickness. Did I have that red mark yesterday? Better see the doctor!

Unfortunatly alot of people are so concerned about vibe that they aren't enjoying their trucks. Stop being so vibe-anoid people and get out there and have fun with that truck! My Gallery

How about people stop posting about their vibe and trying the nice little search function. Works great! Unless you have new info showing a fix!

I make my living in the Automotive industry. I work on many F-150 trucks. I like reading all types of post so I can be as Informed as possible. Please do not stop posting vibe problems. I have a feeling all the activity on this site may be very useful for all with the problem. Especially if Ford starts buying back trucks. Keep up the good work everybody!

For all you vibenoids out there, why the hell are you reading posts about vibes if you don't have any? For those of us who do have a serious issue let us use the forums for its intended use which is to discuss anything we wish to discuss with fellow Ford owners. If you don't like reading these posts then stop reading them and go read about how to clean your panties or something!

My '05 Lariat SuperCrew (Kansas City built) is solid and rides unbelievably smooth for a truck. There are no vibes, shakes rattles, thuds, clunks or any other noises. Nothing.

This is my first Ford and I have to say, Im very impressed. The gas mileage seems to be pretty good too, but I haven't checked it out yet, I need to get some more miles on it. I was looking at the Toyota Tundra, but IMO it's just not built nearly as well. Believe me, I picked these two trucks apart

Seems like some of the first year bugs have been worked out and hopefully the vibe posts will subside.

Hey Kurious, I personally was expressing an opinion, not making light of a serious problem some of you guys are having. All I was saying was there are so many posts about vibe that some people are really looking for this problem on an otherwise perfect truck.

Like any new design there are going to be bugs, and how Ford handles these issues will determine if any of these people will stick with Ford or not. Don't take it so personally, we are allowed to have an opinion just like you.

Tbird69, sorry if I came across as an AHOLE but there are some people out there that have actually made comments that they wish we would stop posting threads about this vibe issue. I love Ford F150's, I think they are the best damn truck on the road but I along with a few other folks are having a minor setback with a vibration that will annoy the hell out of you, especially if you have paid over $36,000 like I have. I will continue to post about my problem and any info I get to share with those with the same problem. What I'm trying to say if you see a topic about a vibration issue -JUST DON'T READ IT- if it bothers you that much. To you fellow vibrators out there, post everything you can so we along with Ford can learn as much as we can about the problem, for those of you who don't like it, well you know what you can do....

Agreed. But don't forget that there are lots of people without this problem that still may be able to shed some light on it. But it's like anything else in life, if you don't like the posts on this issue then don't read it.

I don't care about these threads, its when people are posting in the vibration threads that I don't understand. Why break up the rhythm of some informative posts with posts stating such things like "It's all in your heads" or "There is nothing wrong with these trucks". That's whats ticking me off. Anyways, thanks for letting me vent, I think I've beat this dead horse beyond recognition. Maybe someday I can join your club of vibenoids.Keep posting!

I understand completely, I've started threads looking for info, only to get replies like "I don't know" or "can't help you". Why are these people posting if they can't help? I started the thread to get information from someone who can help me.

But it is time put this issue to bed, last I will say on it. Honest
