autolamp timer

I've tried to find this info here but couldn't. My headlights seem to turn off automatically after an unusually long amount of time. We're talking minutes. Does anyone know how long they headlamps should stay on after you turn off your truck, and is there an adjustment? I'm not sure that they will ever turn off sometimes.

Thanks,
mikebaby

Yes, they can be adjusted. I can't remember exactly how anymore...but it's in the manual. You can adjust the time to whatever you disire...I did it soon after I got my XLT. I set mine to turn off about 5 seconds after I turn off my ignition.

Hope this helps.

You use your info center thing to adjust it. I think you press reset or something like that....its in your owners manual.

3 seconds to 3 minutes is the delay range... another one of the hidden features Ford gave us.

another neat feature...there's an autovolume increase feature for the radio. The faster you go, the louder it plays and best of all, we can set the % of volume increase. It only took me two months to run accross it.

Read your owner's manual. It is all in there, nothing is hidden.
