New Magnaflow

Just installed a Magnaflow Duel exhaust last Friday (part # 15834) and I love the sound. The install took a couple of hours, but would have been a lot easier if I had dropped my spare a lot earlier in the install. Once the spare was out of the way, finishing was a breeze. The sound is great (sound clip to follow). The trottle response is better, not a big difference, but better. I'm looking to add a cold air intake next, once I find the funds.

I have read a posting on the FordF150.net Forum that a member had created his on 'snorkle.' The intake funnel mounted behind the grill or bumper grill and ran through 3" flexible hose up through the plastic liner in the wheel well into the opening where the stock intake draws air. The flow was not directly pushed into the intake, but the flow was pushed where is could be drawn easier. I think he had a high flow filter, but retain the stock intake plastic. Does this sound right?

Hey, not sure about the intake boot part, but just wanted to let you know I am in the same boat with the exhaust. I installed mine a week ago from last friday, and I love this thing. I dropped the spare right away, and it took me about an hour and a half(after swearing at the stock exhaust when it fell on my shoulder! ) Anyway, I have the same feelings as you do on the exhaust, and I definately, recommend an air intake for your truck. I installed the airaid, and I like it. When combined with the exhaust, it definately made a noticable difference. If you install it right, you don't have to worry about all the check engine light talk on here, and it will run great! Glad to see someone else was able to get the install done of this system. You can see some pics in my gallery, now let's see some of yours!

AirRaid

Nice pic's. I have to get the camera out and I'll get some posted.

Did you get the Air Raid off Ebay or from someone else. I've read quite a few folks saying Ebay is a lot cheaper for parts. But, I haven't found the air intakes any less (most are more expensive). I had heard good things on the Volant (sp?), but I have a few bucks to save. There is way to many after markets to add that I can't afford yet. One of these days....

I got my Airaid and Magnaflow both off of Troyer Performance. Good prices from there.
