i've been thinking about getting it done soon myself. i really don't
have anything to squawk about, the truck does perform excellent
for my particular driving needs and habits BUT the slight hesitation on occasion does bug me enough to think about it.
i'm just paranoid the slackers would screw something up since
their tech didn't even have respect enough ( or smarts enough )
to wipe off the excess oil he dripped while doing my oil change.
it makes you wonder how morons hold down jobs ??????

I told you so! It really made a difference on mine too. I enjoy driving it much more now. It makes those uncomfortable seats, not so uncomfortable anymore.

I remember your post about you getting the reflash and what caught my attention was thr fact that you have the same build date as I do. so thanks for the advise. This is why I continue to come back to this forum. When I got my K&N Drop in filter I thaught that that would help with the performence. but it did nothing for the hesitation. and very little for the power in the engine BUT now I have every thing I want out of the 5.4 V8 and more . It really makes everything come together. it's a joy to drive! One thing that I'm waiting to see is the fuel enconomy?
Can I have My Cake and eat it too?
I was getting around 16-18 mpg. HEMI SHMEMI

dzervit-- I'm not sure how I can get that Info. Where would I look? I say's nothing about the new code on the papers I got back from the dealer about the new update!

They’re suppose to put one of these under the hood somewhere.

Reflash

I will be visiting the dealership soon for the shudder and some irregular tire wear...I am definitely asking for the reflash.

I am also considering getting the 1714 Superchip since I have read some positive feedback on this site regarding the chip's effect on the hesitation and shifting firmness.

I have been extremely pleased with the truck, and if it's true what others have posted about the reflash and these superchips, I assume life is about to get a lot better.

Chandler

jpdadeo,Guigster or anyone else that had the reflash done?

Did you see a drop in fuel mileage ?

It's hard for me to tell yet . I find myself playing around and having fun because it's running so good. I've got to calm down.

Next tank of gas I will record my mpg's .

No drop in mpg as far as I can tell. I get about 15.5 to 16 mpg local driving and a couple of mpg more on the highway.

When I had a dead battery, the first couple tanks the milage blew while the PCM re-learned my driving habits.... it's back to normal now. I'd expect the same out of a PCM flash...

I have not checked my MPG. I only checked it once in the truck's lifetime. I figure I'm not going to do anything about it anyway, so why bother? It's one of those things, I'd just rather not know. I just know that I can get over 300+ miles on a full tank of gas.
