Looks good, Frank.

I have always relied solely on factory tints. I would like more tint on the front door windows on my 04 SCrew. But, I see some of these tints flaking on cars around three to five years old. I wonder if those were cheap jobs or do all tints die after awhile. I keep my trucks 5 to 8 years. Peeling tint is not very purdy. I guess I could get my truck re-tinted if the tints die.

Tint quality

Blue,I've owned four other vehicles and the first thing I do is tint the windows. The main reason for doing this is to protect the interior.I had two ''lowriders'' a 87 regal with wire wheels and a 90 towncar with gold wire wheels,They had to be perfect inorder to show at shows and I always had great luck with tints on them.As long as you have someone that has a good rep you will make out fine.I've never had a car or truck for more than two years so I have no idea how long they will last,But the guy thats done all of my vehicles said that if anything they will start to turn purple after about 6 years.Make sure the person installin them uses 3M brand tint.

Frank,

My accessory shop (in business for 35 years) would not do a 20% on my front door windows so I had to go up a notch. (state law, he said). Guaranteed for life and cost $55 in Houston. I could have gotten it for $40 or so at some newer shops without a lifetime guarantee or the guarantee from a shop that may or may not be here in four or five years. It does look pretty good. If it stops raining, I will take a pic and upload it, if not today, tomorrow.

The shop had some replacement side mirrors with turn signals installed for $279. They use the existing mirror frames and just replace the glass, I think. That may be my next purchase.

I should have waited awhile and bought the new Lincoln truck. I may have saved some money. This truck (04 SCrew) is like a money pit. It always wants another toy to play with.

Front door window tint

OK, rain or no rain, I took a couple pictures and added them to my gallery. Thanks, Frank, for getting me pumped up to get my tint.

First mod I did was 20% tint. Wish I paid what you guys did though, mine was $80 here in DC. Everything is more freakin expensive....
