Magnaflow exhaust tip?

I have an 04 FX4, I recently replaced the stock muffler with a magnaflow replacement. I'm wanting to add a magnaflow tip, but the only one in a 2.5 inlet dia. is 18in. long. Would this tip be to long to ad the the stock tailpipe?

You need to cut the stock pipe the right length so the new tip is still in the same location as the stock tailpipe, and then weld the connection.

Yes that would be too long. I did my own magnaflow system build. Bought the same muffler in the cat back system for $89.00 and a 12" stainless steel rolled tip for another $29.00. Go to performancepeddler.com These guys are very helpful. The tip is $29 shipped to your door. They carry any magnaflow product you could ever want

It is kinda long for that application, but it could be done with the right angle and enough cut off of the stock pipe so that it would exit right. I dont think it would look bad at all though, I like the longer tips.
