315/70/17 BFG... anyone?

Is anyone running 315/70/17 on their 4x4? Need to know if they rub and if they are loud. I know they are 34.5x12 tires, I have been debating those with the grapler 295/70/17 which are 33.25x12.25. I am installing the 1.5" level lift.

I have them, they don't rub and are very quiet.
I built my own coilovers using Swayaway shocks and on my 4X4 excluding the larger tire height, the ride height of the truck is about 1-1 1/2 inches lower than stock in the front and 3 inches lower in the rear.
Wheels are stock 17" take offs I got from my tire shop.

PS there is 18k on these tires and they are wearing normally.

Hope that answers your concerns

Im running them but I have a 6" lift, so no rub. Do a search on "Hummer Tires" for a good way to get those really cheap!!

If added front level kit like 2.5", is it safe to put 315/70/17 on truck and driving on the beach or off roading (dirty road) ??

Thanks!

Ok guy's lets do some math.
Stock 275/65/18 = 32.5" tall (I measured them)
315/70/17 on stock 17" rim = 34.5 (I measured them also)
34.5 minus 32.5 equals 2 inches, divide that in half equals 1 inch added to top and bottom or front and rear of tire.
So the tire fits with no lift required and does not rub on road or when used offroad on beachs, rocks even when I chase offroad in baja.

Your results may vary.

EddyG88, do you think your tire/wheel combo would work with only the 2" front lift? And how do you think they would fit with the rancho 4" lift?

I am pretty sure others here with a 2" lift made this combo work. At worst, you would have to do a little trimming of the inner fender or front bumper valance. Both would go unnoticed and is very easy to do, we are talking an inch or so, nothing more.
I think Daystar claims this to work on their site so I would go for it.
I know it works on the Rancho, I think Risstucia (sp?) has a similar setup with no problems.
