How do you lift the front bumper to take away the gap?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question (meaning the answer is loosen the bolts and push it up then retighten them) but I have seen a few trucks that have had the bumpers pushed up to the body lines, thus getting rid of the gap between the body and the front bumper. This is a very clean looking mod and I would like to do it. but I haven't had a chance to get under the truck yet and see if you can just unbolt the bumper and push it up....is that simple or is there more to it than that?

easy way:

four bolts; 2 on each side, 18mm 3/4 drive wrench (i think), 2 friends pushing up and you tightening

hmmm... Anyone haves pics of this done from the side of the truck? I would be worried that it would cause the bumper to sit "higher" than the bottom side of the truck, and look kinda funny.

If you have a 4x4 and plan on using it, I wouldnt suggest doing that. I am not 100% sure but I thought the gap in the front was there as a vent and for room for play in high stress situations. If all you had to do was tighten the bolts, why wouldnt Ford do it?

your right Eddy the gap between the bottom bumper and the upper cover is to eliminate rubbing. Eventually it will wear a rub mark where ever it's in contact. Even though the frame is rigid it still has some flex in it. The cover will shake also being soft compound while driving.
