I am looking to buy an 05 F150 and managed to get on the Canadian Ford partners' web site to check possibilities for getting a X Plan PIN. It states the following are eligible for a PIN:

Active employees (salaried, hourly and contract), retirees, members and their spouses who reside within the Canada. You will be required to show proof of employment or membership by an organization or company eligible for Partner Recognition benefits at the time you take delivery of your vehicle.

It appears that accessing a X Plan Pin is not as easy for the average Canadian as it is in the US. Anybody know of a partner company/organization that one could easily and cheaply become a member to gain access?

 

the experimental aircraft asssociation (eaa.org). only problem is that you have to be a member for 1 year first before they will give you a pin.

 

you might be confusing the plans.

A plan is for employees. You dont get this unless you are an employee.

The there is X plan which is for family, friends suppliers etc

These are more redily available. However, you can most likely negotiate a rate lower than X plan if you try hard and show up armed with information (invoice cost, rebates etc)

 

X plan is easy to get in Canada! All you need is a friend that works for Ford. He can get more than one person a deal with the X plan.

Just ask him (or her).

 

I'm from Terrebonne Quebec and I have a X-plan that I will be using to get a FX4 next week , like people said just find a friend who has a friend who work at the factory and he will get you one.

First time I shop for a car that I don't have to check for who will give me the better price and service all I have to do is : Shop for the service and so far after 2 try in my ltown looks like I made up my mind and signed up today for a new FX4 5.4L , monday I'll get my credit approval and hopefully take possession of it on wednesday... I'm so freaking excited...
