Not to be a spoiler, but the reason I think they might have changed from the painted door handles is for practical use purposes. The painted handles just get scratched if you think about it. How many times does a person's hand touch a handle relative to other painted parts? Besides...the quality of plastics are far superior to what they were ten years ago. Not sayin that I don't like the painted, but i'm just trying to see their purpose for changing from paint to plastic. I'd rather see polished alluminum or something.... now that would match my wheels.

I think its more of a pain having the handles plastic. Its a PITA to wax the truck without getting it on them! That one of the reason I want them painted, the other is cause it looks MUCH better!

I'm in the process of painting all my stuff. I ripped up my passenger side, removed the handles & buckets, and even removed the handle from the bucket. A torch lighter, some plyers and a little muscle is all you need to get everything apart.

I have a fresh paint supply that UPS delivered today, and nice weekend weather. Also got a bulk pack of Dynamat Xtreme to put in. Hopefully I'll have some "how to" pics, then next week some final pics of everything polished up.

Looks good Jelly. A DIY job like mine costs 'bout $150 and a weekend. Tack on a few more hours and another $150 for the Dynamat.

I don't think I'll do the mirrors until I obtain some more 3M film to cover it. Those huge things are gonna look like crap after some miles w/o any protection.

I second that!!!!

Trying to get the wax out of the plastic was near impossible. Could hide it easy, but to actually remove it was difficult.
